I'm still reading on this monitor (and variants) but so far it seems really promsing as a monitor. What do you think?

LG makes the vast majority of IPS panels used in LCD/LED monitors. They make a tens of thousands 27" panels (JUST the panel with no connectors or guts) and they are sampled for quality. Those that appear perfect go to Apple, HP, Dell, Hazro, Asus, Viewsonic and several other big companies for their high-end displays. These are rated as A+ panels. Those that are not perfect, but still good, go to a 2nd party monitor maker (usually South Korean) like Yamasaki, PC bank, Achieva, Crossover.

The monitor is a no go IMO.

I know how they are made but that particular model (Catleap q270)..... The team at Yamasaki have made an agreement with 120hz.net to ship a limited supply of "extreme" edition versions with a different PCB which could be OC'd to 120hz, making it a 1440p 120hz IPS monitor. Gamer's wet dream D:

A few vids on youtube about this and many people have gotten flawless panels but still a third of them have issues such as 15-20 dead pixels or the panel is laid with permemantly bright pixels. It's a no go, yes.

I wonder how long it will be before a brand 1440p 120hz IPS monitor comes out........I'm dreaming....
