The game takes place 10 years after that Kratos made the deal with Ares. The game starts in Attica where the gods have sent you to defeat the invading Persian army. Upon completion of his task, Kratos witnesses the sun plunging from the sky, sending the world in darkness. Yes, you've guessed it, its time to help the gods yet again. You have to make your way through various levels, hacking the various enemies trying to stop you, while using your whits to overcome tricky challenges which you will have to face. I don't want to spoil the game, so all i'll tell you is that the story keeps you fixed to the PSP, longing to uncover more.

The game uses the same combat system as other God of War games, that is using your Blades of Chaos (and other weapons you come across) to kill enemies using combos, and occasionally following a pattern of attacks as instructed by the game itself (a sort of minigame if you will). Alternatively, you can use magical attacks, but magic doesn't replenish on its own and you need to find blue orbs as you go along in order to replenish it. Controls are quite good and easy to use.

Graphics are stunning, especially the short clips and music is well adapted to the specific situation.

The only downfall of the game is that it is quite short. Developers tried to solve it by adding challenges which can be unlocked by playing the game on different difficulties.

its really good. i had never played god of war before so i expected a gorey-er prince of persia 2 thrones with dark prince mode activated. i was kind of right but with the added buonus of greek mythology, stunning visials and well designed levels make this game one of the best games i ever played on the psp and almost across al platformes.
