A very good game that anyone with a MotionPlus enhanced Wii should have. It is clear that a lot of work has been put into, judging by the number of dungeons, graphics and puzzles. The graphics are nothing close to the high definition of other consoles, but it is a good job considering the specs of the Wii console. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of voice acting and the annoying inability of skipping through most cut scenes. It is annoying to "read" the same conversation again and again when you get repeatedly beaten by a particularly difficult boss. Same thing for when you fall of certain parts of Skyloft (the "base" map), you get punished by having to see the cut scene where a knight on a "loft wing" advises you to be careful. Another thing I did not personally like were the "Silent Realm" challenges that find you stripped of your weapons and gear and with a limited time to find "tears" before being chased by guardians who can pass through walls. The game also features one of the most faggish antagonists I ever came across in a video game, complete with Freddie Mercury Harlequin outfit. Finally, the most disappointing thing (and this carries over from previous Zelda titles) is the lack of saving slots. You only get 3 and you cannot, say keep a save point from just before a boss, in case you would like to replay the sequence after finishing the game. There is a way to fight the bosses again by accepting the Thunder Dragon challenges, but the save games would have been more convenient. I don't understand why Nintendo insist on having such a limited saving method.
I understand that I spent more time describing the bad things, but the good things are hard to describe and need to be experienced in order to be fully appreciated.
