Onvol, official sponsor of GozoLanParty.com have just confirmed that there will be a Call of Duty 2 tournament at the upcoming Gozo IT&T Fair that will be held at the Gozo Sports Complex between Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd April 2006.
According to the terms and conditions specified by Onvol, sign up for this tournament can only be made in teams of 4. Due to the limited space, there can only be 8 players at a time, therefore there can only be 2 or 4 teams (not 3).
Below are the Onvol terms and conditions in more detail:
• Participants will be chosen on a first come first served basis.
• Applicants are required to bring their own PC - tower, monitor*, headset, keyboard and mouse.
• Applicants must be Onvol subscribers and over 16 years of age.
• Those who sign up need to make sure they will be able to attend throughout the whole duration of the IT&T Fair (time table shown below). Teams with a no-show will be responsible for finding a replacement unless they want to be at numeric disadvantage.
Official sponsor for GozoLAN
Although there is not much time left, the “coming event” countdown will start on 13th April at 0000hrs (after 24 hours of the posting of this article) so that everyone has equal opportunity to form a team and sign up for the event. Teams will be in exactly the same order as they sign up, that is, as grouped in the coming event. Therefore it is advisable that team members sign up together. The first two teams to make it will automatically be eligible for the tournament. The third team will need to wait for a fourth team to sign up in order to participate.
Due to the urgency and short notice, the closing date for sign up will be Sunday 16th April 2006 (Easter Sunday) at 23:59:99. Prize to be announced later.
