Feast your eyes!
As you can all see, the HD 5870 is rumoured to have twice the processing power of an HD 4870! It will also be larger, so most probably launch prices will be higher than what the HD 4870 was, though the 40-nm process should help reduce the cost. It also seems to be quite a large card, about the size of an HD 4870x2.

@ bob, performance or not, pc game releases have really slowed down, and the few games that are getting released, any 3+ series card can run with ease, consoles are holding the pc back, right now as much as I love shiny new graphic cards, I?'d rather spend it on a console than a vga, because theres simply too few games coming out.

That's another argument Alcom, but it's impossible not to expect higher performance than current ones. You do need that performance if you're using a 1080p screen at high image quality..

"too bad ma nifimx fl' ATI xS " Lol no expertise required, just read a few reviews and you'll get used to what their Nvidia equivalents are xD 5850 looks so gorgeuos. I'll skip this series though, it's good to get 'green' sometimes
